1. Outstanding Technical Features & Machining Capabilities
Twin-Spindle & Twin-Turret Independent Configuration: The left and right spindles, along with the upper and lower turrets, operate independently to double overall productivity. The lineup includes the PUMA TT1300SY, TT1300SYB, TT1300SYY, and TT1300SYYB models.
- Innovative Dual Y-Axis: On the TT1300SYY and TT1300SYYB models, both the upper and lower turrets are equipped with a Y-axis. Adding a lower Y-axis increases productivity by 20% compared to configurations with only an upper Y-axis. The Y-axis stroke is 80 mm (±40 mm) with a rapid traverse rate of 15 m/min.
- Superior Rigidity and Axis Feedrates: All axes are equipped with high-rigidity roller LM guideways to maximize structural stiffness and minimize thermal/vibration fluctuations. The rapid traverse rates reach 30 m/min for the X1 and X2 axes, and 40 m/min for the Z1, Z2, and A axes.
- High-Performance Spindles (Left & Right Spindles):
+ Both left and right spindles support a maximum speed of 6000 r/min.
+ The Left Spindle has a max power of 11 kW (torque of 93 N·m) on the standard SY/SYY models. On the Big Bore SYB/SYYB models, it is upgraded to 15 kW (torque of 116 N·m). The Right Spindle features 11 kW power and 93 N·m torque across all models.
+ Bar working capacity is 42 mm for standard models (SY/SYY) and 51 mm for Big Bore models (SYB/SYYB).
+ The integrated C-axis provides a minimum indexing angle of 0.001 degrees for highly precise contouring control.
- Highly Rigid and Fast Turret System:
Each turret features 12 stations, providing up to 24 index positions in a single setup. This enables "one-setup efficiency" for completing highly complex parts without halting production.
Uses a robust BMT45P holder mount type. The turret indexing time is extremely fast at 0.12 seconds (1-station swivel), reducing non-cutting time by 20% to 30% compared to previous models.
Rotary tools can reach a maximum speed of 6000 r/min, a power of 3.7 kW, and a torque of 23.5 N·m. The oil and air lubrication design minimizes thermal error for top-tier milling, drilling, and tapping.
- Advanced Finished-Part Removal System:
Features an independent parts catcher for the left spindle and an upgraded parts unloader with a work ejector for the right spindle.
The enhanced parts unloader system offers 33% more productivity than previous generations.
It supports a maximum material size of Ø51 mm in diameter, 100 mm in length, and 1.6 kg in weight.
2. Intelligent Control Systems
The series supports two advanced CNC platforms to maximize operating convenience and efficiency: DN Solutions Fanuc i Plus (Fanuc 31i):
Features a 15-inch color display with a QWERTY keyboard and an optional touchscreen iHMI.
EZ-Guide i: An intuitive conversational programming solution that automatically creates a cutting program based on user-entered dimensions.
EZ Work: Supports the operator with functions relating to tool data management, error diagnostics, setup, and machine monitoring.
Real-time Custom Macro Function: Allows the lower turret to continue cutting operations for the left spindle while the right spindle's parts unloader is active, further improving cycle efficiency.
CBS II (Chip Breaking Solution II): Periodically vibrates the servo axis in the processing direction to improve chip control and prevent chip curling, ensuring process stability.
Tool Load Monitoring: Automatically detects abnormal loads caused by tool wear or damage and triggers an alarm to prevent further damage.
SIEMENS SINUMERIK ONE:
Features a large 21.5-inch touchscreen that can display two path programs simultaneously.
Provides real-time 3D simulation of tool paths and finished parts.
Protection Zone Synchronized Actions: Continuously checks for interference between the turret and the spindle to prevent collisions caused by operator error.
DSSV (Dynamic Spindle Speed Variation / Machining Accuracy Improvement): Controls the spindle speed at an optimal level during precision threading and turning, automatically improving surface roughness.
3. Manufacturing Applications, Processed Materials & Actual Product Operations
Manufacturing Applications: The PUMA TT1300 series is specifically optimized for the fast and mass production of high-precision parts. It is globally favored in high-standard industries, most notably Automotive and Medical parts manufacturing.
Processed Materials: Utilizing high-pressure coolant (up to 70 bar) and versatile chip conveyor options (hinged belt, magnetic scraper, or single drum filter), the machine efficiently processes materials like Steel, Cast Steel, Iron, Cast Iron, and Nonferrous Metals.
Machining Concepts & Actual Product Operations:
Long Shaft Machining: Achieved by synchronizing the rotation of both spindles and using both upper and lower turrets for simultaneous cutting, eliminating twisting or deflection.
One Machine, Two Parts: Independent, simultaneous operation of left/right spindles and upper/lower turrets to double output.
First and Second Process Simultaneous Machining: A complete "done-in-one" process where a part is cut on the left spindle, automatically transferred to the right spindle, and finished on its rear side while the next raw part begins on the left spindle.
Actual Product Operations: Ideal for producing complex features such as bolt hole patterns (using the right spindle), keyways (using the left spindle), gear hobbing, polygon turning, internal slotting, eccentric milling, circular interpolation, and multi-face cutting
